Mesotherapy

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a cosmetic technique where a combination of Hyaluronic Acid, vitamins, minerals, coenzymes, amino acids, antioxidants, and nucleic acids are injected into the skin.
It can be done from the age of 18. It is even advisable to start as early as possible so that the skin does not get a chance to dry out and sag.

Why Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is an essential component of connective tissue (the filler substance between skin cells). Because this component can hold water (hydrofixative property), it can expand up to thirty times its size and restore the skin’s volume.

As we age, our bodies are less capable of producing hyaluronic acid. After 40 years, the moisture content in our skin can decrease by as much as 50%. Therefore, it is a logical choice to restore skin hydration with hyaluronic acid through mesotherapy. This not only restores the moisture balance but also adds volume to the skin.

Treatment

The treatment involves injecting a combination of hyaluronic acid (AcHyal) and precisely dosed vitamins (e.g., A, B, C, E, and K), minerals, amino acids, nucleic acids, coenzymes, and antioxidants.

  • Hyaluronic acid restores the moisture balance in the skin.
  • Vitamins improve skin metabolism and cell division.
  • Mineral salts repair tissue metabolism.
  • Amino acids restructure and repair tissues damaged by skin aging.
  • Nucleic acids stimulate the formation of new proteins in the skin.
  • Coenzymes increase the speed of tissue reconstruction.
  • Antioxidants improve blood circulation and stimulate collagen production.

Mesotherapy is usually offered in a course of 6 to 10 treatments.

Each treatment should be repeated every two weeks until the desired result is achieved (usually after 5 to 6 treatments).

The achieved effect is maintained by maintenance treatments. These maintenance treatments should be done twice a year for younger people and once every three to four months for older people.

Results

  • Improvement of skin hydration and structure (firming)
  • Reduction of large pores (up to 80%)
  • Increase in skin smoothness
  • Improvement of local blood circulation
  • Restoration of the skin’s natural flora (good bacteria)
  • Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improvement of skin radiance

Cellulite

Mesotherapy can also be applied to areas of the body where cellulite is present. It reduces the size of fat cells, improves blood circulation, and firms the skin. After a few treatments, a reduction in the appearance of cellulite is noticeable.

Contraindications and Side Effects

You must not be pregnant and must have been free of skin cancer for at least one year. Diabetics and individuals with severe heart arrhythmias should always consult their doctor before undergoing the treatment.

One week before and directly after the treatment, you should avoid using blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin or anticoagulants). Paracetamol as a painkiller is allowed.

Immediately after the treatment, it is better to avoid activities that significantly dilate blood vessels. This means: exercising, taking hot showers, sitting in the sun, using a tanning bed, or visiting a sauna.
