Dermapen

What is the Dermapen Rejuvenation Device?

Dermapen is a device for fractional mesotherapy that renews the skin both internally and externally, combining the functions of microdermabrasion and mesotherapy.

The device consists of a handle with a cartridge. The number of needles in the cartridge can range from 12 pieces and more. Once the device is switched on, the needles in the cartridge begin to move back and forth at a frequency of 3000 to 5500 punctures per minute. Due to the movement of the needles, the skin is evenly punctured. Through the microchannels created, the product penetrates deeply into the skin and activates various biological processes. Moreover, by traumatizing the skin, enhanced skin recovery and renewal occur, resulting in a lifting and smoothing effect.

To address specific problems, treatments use products aimed at solving particular issues. Fractional mesotherapy allows the product to penetrate much deeper into the skin, making the desired effect visible faster.

The micron needles of Dermapen cause micro-damages to the epidermis, leading to the production of collagen and elastin and boosting cell regeneration. The needles create channels in the skin, allowing more than 80% of the product to penetrate the skin (whereas normally only 3-5% of the product is absorbed), which provides the skin cells with the necessary substances for a healthy appearance.

With carefully selected cosmetics, Dermapen can improve skin tone, reduce pigmentation, tighten pores, and combat hair loss (alopecia). Dermapen helps address many cosmetic issues. It is effective for treating wrinkles, scars, post-acne, and stretch marks. During the procedure, channels are formed in the skin, allowing cosmetic products to penetrate up to 80%. After recovery, the results of the procedure remain visible for a long time.

What Can Dermapen Be Used For?

  • Treatment of post-acne scars of various depths
  • Treatment of pigmentation
  • Reduction of fine wrinkles
  • Reduction of enlarged pores
  • For hair loss
  • Treatment of burn scars
  • Treatment of stretch marks

How Many Sessions Are Needed to Achieve Results and How Long Do the Results Last?

After using Dermapen, the microchannels in the skin close within 15-30 minutes after the procedure. When using short needles of 0.5 mm, a follow-up session can be performed after a week; for longer needles, the session should be repeated after a month. For preventive purposes with normal skin without visible defects, 3 sessions are sufficient. For the treatment of pigmentation, 6 sessions are required, and for treating scars and stretch marks, 8 sessions or more are recommended. It is advised to perform a treatment course once a year.

How Does the Dermapen Procedure Feel?

The Dermapen procedure is virtually painless and does not require local anesthesia. After the procedure, there is redness of the skin, which usually disappears within an hour. On the day of the procedure, it is not recommended to wash or apply makeup. For 3 days after the procedure, products containing retinoids and vitamin C should not be used; it is recommended to use creams with restorative and hydrating effects. It is strongly recommended to use sunscreen with a high protection factor.

What Is the Difference Between Dermapen and Laser Rejuvenation Treatments?

The first difference is, of course, the cost of the procedure. The Dermapen procedure is more affordable, and the risks are minimized. Unlike laser rejuvenation methods, Dermapen can be applied to sensitive and smaller areas. Dermapen can be used for all skin types.
